BOARD5.31.05 Swedish Pop/Rock Singer Covers 'Wasted Time' On Debut CD Swedish pop/rock singer SOFIA has recorded a cover of SKID ROW's "Wasted Time" for inclusion on her upcoming debut album, "Lifetraveller", due in early July via BTM Records. "I always had a soft spot for that song, so we did it more or less for fun, but it turned out so well that I wanted it to be on the album," the 23-year-old singer said in a press release. SOFIA worked with an impressive list of producers and songwriters on her debut CD, including Butch Walker (AVRIL LAVIGNE, SIMPLE PLAN, THE DONNAS) and Clif Magness (MICHELLE BRANCH, FAITH HILL, LISA MARIE PRESLEY). The first single, "My Bad" (audio), landed on the Swedish sales chart in its first week of release and has received heavy rotation on radio stations all over Sweden. I wrote the song "Wasted Time" back in 1990 about a friend who was heading down the wrong path. Never did I think that 15 years after writing the song it would be remade into a pop track. I will post the airdate here when I get it. 5.7.05 SEBASTIAN BACH WELCOMES DRUMMER BOBBY JARZOMBEK TO THE BAND !! What an incredible summer this will be! I am amazed to report that none other than MONSTER drummer BOBBY JARZOMBEK (HALFORD, Iced Earth) will be propelling the band on the drumkit into new realms of Metal starting NOW! I am so excited to bring this band to Europe & beyond - there will be more dates added to the tour schedule within the next couple of days so stay tuned Bachaholics! I must mention my elation at this lineup, as a fan. The album RESURRECTION by HALFORD, featuring my current band members Metal Mike & Bobby Jarzombek, is without a doubt one of my favorite CD'S of all time. Having 2/5th's of the team that created that masterpiece, stand along side me in the studio & on stage in front of around 100,000 people this June, is a situation that I could not have imagined in my wildest dreams! Having this band, along with Steve DiGiorgio & Johnny Chromatic, is musically, creatively, & performance-wise making me step things up a notch on my end getting ready for these upcoming shows & the new CD. We will be working on the new CD this summer, on tour breaks, & there is a STRONG possibility we could have the new CD out by November hopefully! That is the plan right now. I am honoured to say that I will be announcing the Original 1930's show "The Three Stooges" on Spike TV along with Abe Vigoda & Jimmy JJ Walker (GOOD TIMES ) DY-NO-MIIIITE !!!!!! The "The Three Stooges Slapathon" airs either this Saturday Morning or next Saturday morning. Moe, Shemp, & Curly have all been major influences to me, & somehow, I always knew I would hook up with Fish, from Barney Miller, one of my all time fave TV shows, in a creative sense. Nyuck Nyuck. SEBASTIAN BACH CO-HEADLINES EVOLUTION FESTIVAL IN ITALY I am totally excited to announce the EVOLUTION FESTIVAL which happens this JULY 16 in Toscolano Maderno, Italy!! This will be the first outdoor festival I have ever played in my life in Italy, which has ALWAYS been one of my favorite countries in the world to play ! The Italian audiences are so passionate about Rock'N'Roll ( & life in general come to think of it!) & each & every time I have been fortunate enough to play in this beautiful country, it ends up as a memory I will never forget. I am a huge fan of the Entombed Album "Wolverine Blues" & another band I am freaking out about playing with is LORDI - this band is the wildest looking bunch of freaks ever ( think KISS meets some haunted house amusement park ride run by Rob Zombie) so I am truly looking forward to this gig cya soon ITALY!!!!!!!!! The band are truly excited about all the festivals this summer - the fact that we are headlining Bloodstock & co-headlining Evolution is really a testament to the new band & the simple fact that this lineup is the most musically incredible team I have ever had the pleasure to destroy a stage with.
